Inspiration Design Center believes in supporting our local communities and giving back to those in need. Through our IDC Gives campaigns we are able to support a variety of local, smaller non-profits and charities in the Twin Cities metro area. Not only do we help with financial support, we help raise awareness of the charity.
Each year we select four Charter Charities that will receive financial donations throughout the entire calendar year. Additionally, we choose a charity for each month of the year. Many times the charity will match a national awareness theme for the month. Examples include Wiggle Your Toes (helping amputees) in April (Limb Loss Awareness Month), Can do Canines (service dogs) in September (Service Dog Awareness Month), and Books Against Bullying in October (National Bullying Prevention Month & National Book Month).
IDC creates a new IDC Gives post on the first business day of each month, showcasing the charity of that month. This is done on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Every positive action on these posts (Reactions, Comments, Shares) equals $1…with a potential of $500 being earned for the charity by the end of that month.
Alongside our sister company Genz-Ryan, we held a social contest called Classroom Cash where we received nominations for Minnesota teachers who needed help buying school supplies. Due to an overwhelming response in voting, we decided to award the top two teachers with $500 Target gift cards and the remaining 61 teachers with $200 Target gift cards!
We are always looking for new charities to support. Please contact us with your suggestions!
